Adder

An adder (me thinks) seen sunning itself on Dinas Olau. We disturbed it by walking by. Only the second one I've seen. The first was also sunning itself by the side of a track on the Schwaitlalm outside Salzburg when I was a young teenager on a Sunday walking up the Alm with my Tante Loni and Onkel Otto. I remember my aunt bending down to stroke the snake and it rearing up to strike. Luckily, the act of striking caused the snake to roll off the earth mound it occupied.

Caravan relocated

Caravan happily relocated in its new home above Dolgellau in North Wales.

Spike sports a dragon

Spike returns with a red dragon earring after partying all weekend following Wales' win over the French. He says he wanted a tatoo but somehow ended up with a earring! Cymru am byth!

Taking a well earned break during a long walk above Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog in the Welsh hills. Thank you David Lloyd George for leading the fight in 1923 to stop English planners turning the beautiful Ceiriog valley into a huge reservoir.
